1 How the Flo- DIRECT Gives You Top Performance andEfficiency in a DIRECT FIRED WATER is introduced into the top of the unit through aseries of calibrated dispersion nozzles. Cold WATER travels downthrough a bed of multifaceted stainlesssteel packing rings that break the WATER into smallerand smaller is mounted on top of the unit, firing downwardthrough a centrally located flame tube. The flame tubeis cooled by incoming cold WATER , and all of the fuelgasses are consumed within this flame tube. Thedesign allows all combustion to take place within a dryand cool environment, and produces very low levels ofnitrous oxide (NO) and carbon dioxide (CO2).

2 Heatfrom the flame enters the lower chamber from the bottom of the flame tube, and travels slowly upwardthrough the packing rings. The descending watercomes in contact with the bed of packing rings, whereheat transfer takes rain of hot WATER then falls into the lower chamber and is pumped out to a storage tank. Watertemperatures up to 185 F are available within 15 to 20seconds after the unit starts. Outlet WATER temperatureis set with a valve controlling the incoming WATER incoming WATER results in cooler outlet WATER tem-peratures, and less incomingwater produces hotter out-let WATER products of combustion are exhausted out of thetop of the unit, and are normally 40 to 100 F in ResultThe unit produces potable hot WATER within 15 to 20seconds of starting.

8 (" Armstrong ") warrants to the original user of those products supplied by it and used in the service and in the manner for which theyare intended, that such products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation, but not longerthan 15 months from the date of shipment from the factory [unless a Special Warranty Period applies, as listed below]. This warranty does not extend to anyproduct that has been subject to misuse, neglect, or alteration after shipment from the Armstrong factory. Except as may be expressly provided in a writtenagreement between Armstrong and the user, which is signed by both parties, Armstrong DOES NOT MAKE ANYOTHER REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANYIMPLIED WARRANTYOF MERCHANTABILITYOR ANYIMPLIED WARRANTYOF FITNESS FOR APARTICULAR sole and exclusive remedy with respect to the above limited warranty or with respect to anyother claim relating to the products or to defects or any condition or use of the products supplied by Armstrong , however caused, and whether such claim isbased upon warranty, contract, negligence, strict liability.

10 The Limited Warrantyand Remedy terms herein apply notwithstanding any contrary terms in any purchase order or form submitted or issued by any user, purchaser, or third party andall such contrary terms shall be deemed rejected by Warranty Periods are as follows:Flo-Rite-Temp Instantaneous WATER HEATER -The tube bundle shall have a 10-year guarantee against failure caused by materials or workmanship provided by Armstrong but not against gasket failure or damage caused by corrosion, WATER hammer or lack of proper Packaged Instantaneous WATER HEATER -Two (2) years from the date of installation, but not longer than 27 months from the date of Gas FIRED WATER HEATER -The stainless steel structure and stainless steel internals shall have a 5-year guarantee against failure caused by materialsor workmanship provided by Armstrong .
