2 Capable of facilitating communication between students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in one-to- one and small group situations, which the content ranges from informal to moderately technical. This individual will function under close supervision of an individual having professional interpreting skills and knowledge of deafness. REPORTS TO: Principal or Administrator JOB GOAL. To appropriately interpret for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a variety of settings. SUPERVISES: N/A. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: (1) Consult with teachers and aides working with the Deaf or Hard of Hearing population. *. (2) Interpret for Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in classroom, small group and meeting settings. *. (3) Participate in IEP committee meetings as appropriate. *. (4) Work in small groups or individually with assigned student(s). *. (5) Prepare a substitute INTERPRETER folder with necessary student information and materials.
