Removable, battery-programmable panelfor the convenience of both programminginstruction and programming prior toinstallation. Four cycle modes (CUSTOM, CYCLICAL,ODD, or EVEN) selectable for eachprogram for maximum flexibility. Event-Day-Off option to set any day of themonth as a non-watering day for allprograms accommodates specialoccasions and special wateringordinances. Programmable Delay-Between-Stationsprovides time for water well recovery ortime for slow-closing valves to turn offcompletely. Start time stacking prevents hydraulicoverload. Variable test program for systemoperational testing. Water budgeting by program from 0 to300% in 1% increments makes seasonaladjustments quick and easy.

3 Programmable rain delay enables systemto stay off for specified period with anauto-restart. Sensor inputs and override switch withLED indicate when irrigation issuspended. Master valve/pump start circuit ,programmable by station, for optimalirrigation control. D-drip program can run simultaneouslywith program A, B or C to maximizehydraulic capacity and minimize wateringtime. Diagnostic circuit breaker and LED faultindicator identify electrical shorts, skipshorted stations, and continue irrigationcycle. Battery recharging circuit maintains fullycharged NI-MH backup battery (included)to keep current time and date during apower outage. Enhanced Surge Protection makes thecontroller reliable and robust underextreme field conditions. Heavy-duty external, plug-in styletransformer on the ESP-LXi plus indoorversion provides convenient installation.

7 The controller shall be housed in a wall-mountable, heavy-duty, plastic, (weather-resistantin ESP-LX plus ) cabinet with a key-lock door andshall be suitable for indoor or outdoorapplications. The controller shall operate on 117 VAC 10% at60Hz (230 VAC 10% 50/60Hz for lnternationalModels) and shall be capable of operating up totwo VA 24 VAC electric remote control valvesper station plus a master valve or a pump startrelay. The controller shall have an electronic,diagnostic circuit breaker that shall sense a stationwith an electrical overload or short circuit and shallbypass the station and shall continue to operate allother stations in the program in sequence. The controller shall have four separate irrigationprograms (A, B, C, & D-drip) which may beprogrammed for different start times, stationassignments, station watering time lengths andany of four independent cycle modes CUSTOM,CYCLICAL, ODD, or EVEN.

8 Each program shall becapable of up to 6 start times per day. Thecontroller shall have _____stations, eachcapable of an operating range of from 0 to 12hours, with 0 to 120 minutes selectable in 1 minuteincrements and above 120 minutes selectable in10-minute increments. The CONTROLLERS shall have aseparate water budget feature for each of the A, B,C, or D-drip programs. Water budget shall allowsimultaneous adjustment for all stations on aprogram from zero % of set running time to 300%of set running time. Adjustments shall be in 1%increments. The controller shall be capable of stacking A, B, and C programs and operatingthem sequentially to prevent overlapping irrigationcycles. Only the D-drip program shall be allowed tostart at any time regardless of another program inoperation. When the D-drip program is inoperation along with an A, B, or C program, thecontroller shall be capable of displaying bothstations that are in operation and their programassignments.

9 The controller shall have a 365-daycalendar with a day-of-the-month OFF featureallowing the operator to set specific dates to be offup to 30 days in advance. A date set to OFF shalloverride the normal, repeating day schedule andshall remain off on that date, and shall display tothe operator that the current day is a non-waterday. All OFF days shall revert to ON once the daypasses, with the exception of the 31st which mustbe manually reset to of the four programs shall have the ability tobe set with a time delay between operation ofstations. This delay shall occur at the end of eachstation s watering and before proceeding to thenext assigned watering station. The delay shall beadjustable from 0 seconds to 9 controller shall have a master valve/ pumpstart circuit that shall provide 24-volt A. 10 When the sensor reachesits wet setting and is either interrupting orrestricting voltage, the same restriction shall bemade to the valve common terminal to prevent orinterrupt irrigation. The controller shall have anindicator light that shall be on whenever thesensor switch is set to ACTIVE . The controllershall have a front-face-panel-mounted sensorbypass switch that shall allow the operator tooverride the sensor if controller shall have a battery rechargingcircuit and a factory-supplied 9-volt rechargeableD39243 CESP-LX PlusESP-LXi Plusbattery. A fully charged battery shall maintain clocktime and program memory up to one week duringa power outage. The controller shall have a non-volatile memory to maintain the program duringpower outage in the absence of battery backup. Thefront panel shall be removable and programmableunder battery controller shall have a connector to mate tothe remote control receiver.
