Transcription of Fisher 8532 High-Performance Butterfly Valve
1 8532 High-PerformanceButterfly ValveThe Fisher 8532 High-Performance Butterfly valveprovides outstanding performance under extremepressure and temperature conditions. The 8532 valvemaintains tight shutoff, is available in a fire-testedversion, and can be specified for 8532 Valve is available as either a flangeless,wafer-style design or as a single-flange (lugged)design. A splined drive shaft combines with a variety ofspring-and-diaphragm or pneumatic piston actuatorsto make the 8532 a reliable, high-performancebutterfly Valve for a variety of throttling and on-offapplications in the various process 8532 Valve can be supplied with one of severaldynamic seals (figure 4) that can be used in a variety ofdemanding applications.
2 With the appropriate sealselection and materials of construction, thepressure-assisted seal provides excellent shutoffagainst the full CL150 or CL300 pressure Economical Tight Shutoff-- The pressure-assistedseal design provides tight shutoff against the fullpressure rating of the specified Safety-- Shaft blowout protection is designed intothe 8532 Valve (figure 6). The anti-blowout glandfits securely over the Valve shaft which has beenturned down to form a circumferential shoulderthat contacts the anti-blowout Excellent Flow Control-- With a modified equalpercentage flow characteristic, the 8532 can beused for throttling applications through 90 degreesof disk rotation.
3 Rangeability is 100 to Economically Designed for Minimal Deadband-- Asplined end connection on the drive shaft allowslever clamping by most Fisher rotary Application Versatility-- Optional keyed shaft is idealfor on/off applications and allows actuator selectionflexibility. Standard construction materials and sealassemblies provide long life and outstandingperformance in a broad range of liquid and Ease of Maintenance-- Interchangeability of all partsincluding shafts and disks simplifies service andreduces maintenance Improved Environmental Capabilities-- The optionalENVIRO-SEAL packing system is designed withvery smooth stem surfaces and live-loadingprovides improved sealing, guiding, and loadingforce transmission.
4 The ENVIRO-SEAL packingsystem can control emissions below the EPA(Environmental Protection Agency) limit of 100ppm (parts per million).n Easy Installation-- The Valve body self-centers on theline flange bolts as a fast, accurate means ofcentering the Valve in the Reliable Flange Gasketing Surface-- Seal retainerscrews are located so there is no interference withthe sealing function of either flat sheet or spiralwound line flange ValveD101552X012 Product :8532 June 20188532 ValveD101552X012 Product :8532 June 2018 2 SpecificationsAvailable Valve ConfigurationsJWafer (Flangeless), JLugged (Single Flange), orJDouble Flanged Valve bodiesValve Body SizesNPS J14, J16, J18, J20, J24, J30, J36,J42, and J48 End Connection StyleValve body is designed to fit between raised-facemating flanges per ASME CL150 or CL300 Maximum Inlet Pressure/Temperature(1)Consistent with JCL150 and JCL300pressure/temperature ratings per ASME Also, see figures 2 and 3 for additional informationNPS 30 through 48.

To meet the performance requirements ofmany of today's fire-tested requirements, a Phoenix IIIvalve must be installed in the preferred valveorientation. Both the NOVEX and cryogenic seals areuni-directional and should be installed with the shaftupstream of the operating conditions may require a specificcombination of actuator motion. To satisfy uniqueoperating requirements, the Valve and actuator can beassembled in eight ways, providing for actuatormotion and open disk position.
