A splined drive shaft cancombine with a variety of spring-and-diaphragm orpneumatic piston actuators to make the control -Diskvalve a reliable control Valve for a variety of throttlingapplications in the process CL600 Control-Disk Valve can be supplied with oneof several dynamic seals (figure 1) that can be used in avariety of demanding applications. With theappropriate seal selection and materials ofconstruction, the pressure-assisted seal helps provideexcellent shutoff against the full ASME class pressurerange for the CL600 Control-Disk Equal percentage flow characteristic-- An equalpercentage flow characteristic provides animproved throttling range comparable to that of asegmented ball Valve .
2 This improved capabilityallows you to control closer to the target set point,regardless of process disturbances, which results ina reduction in process Fire Safe Construction-- The CL600 control -Diskvalve has been fire tested per API 607, 6th editionwith the Phoenix III seal. Standard constructionrequires 316 stainless steel chrome plated disk ,graphite packing, metal bearings and S17400H1025 SST or S20910 SST shaft.
