4 Apply only in well ventilated : January 2005 Page 1 of 2 product data SheetSURFACE Zinc silicate coated surfaces: Remove oil and grease, etc. with suitable detergent. Remove saltPREPARATION:and other contaminants by (high pressure) fresh water cleaning. After exposure to high humidity, zinc salts ( white rust ) will have to be removed thoroughly by high pressure fresh water hosing, ifnecessary combined with scrubbing with stiff nylon brushes. Consult the APPLICATIONINSTRUCTIONS for the relevant GALVOSIL only where application and curing can proceed at temperatures above 10 C/50 F. CONDITIONS:The temperature of the surface and that of the paint itself must also be above this limit.

5 Apply only on a dry and clean surface with a temperature above the dew point to avoidcondensation. In confined spaces provide adequate ventilation during application and S GALVOSIL qualities, or according to : SUBSEQUENT None, or according to :REMARKS:Weathering/service The natural tendency of epoxy coatings to chalk in outdoor exposure and to become moreTemperatures:sensitive to mechanical damage and chemical exposure at elevated temperatures is alsoreflected in this thickness:May be specified in another film thickness than indicated depending on purpose and area of will alter spreading rate and may influence drying time and recoating interval. Normal rangedry is 50-125 mils.

6 However, to obtain optimum anti-popping properties on top ofzinc silicates (GALVOSIL), apply HEMPADUR HI-BUILD 45230 in a dry film thickness of at least75 mils. It is recommended to apply a mist coat of the non-diluted HEMPADURHI-BUILD 45230, let the air escape, and then apply the full coat of HEMPADUR HI-BUILD 45230 afew minutes later.
