How to Use a Multimeter - learn.sparkfun
The first digit on many multimeters is only able to display a '1' so the ranges are limited to1 9.99 instead of 99.99. Hence the 20V max range instead of 99V max range. Warning! In general, stick to DC circuits (the settings on the multimeter with straight lines, not curvy lines).

Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) - learn.sparkfun
learn.sparkfun.comProgramming for SPI Resources and Going Further Introduction Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) is an interface bus commonly used to send data between microcontrollers and small peripherals such as shift registers, sensors, and SD cards. It uses separate clock and data lines, along with a select line to choose the device you wish to talk to.
Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) - learn.sparkfun
learn.sparkfun.comIf you connect an LED directly to a current source it will try to dissipate as much power as it's allowed to draw, and, like the tragic heroes of olde, it will destroy itself. That's why it's important to limit the amount of current flowing across the LED. For this, we employ resistors.
