1 Information Coordinator Job Description Job Title: Information Coordinator Reporting to: Gold Standard Manager Department: Operations - Workforce Development Direct Reports: none Key Contacts: Internal teams Location: Warrington Date Created: Dec 2013 Date Revised: October 2014 Job Purpose To coordinate the Cogent Group s requirements for product data and Information management including the Gold Standard/Skills for Growth database and tools, the skills store and the nuclear industry training framework to ensure that the databases are up-to-date, quality controlled and functional.
2 Key Accountabilities To update, manage and review the Cogent training framework database including: o Job Roles o Competences o Training Standards o Qualifications To maintain the Gold Standard materials and role Information including the Business benchmarking and Gold Standard Diagnostic Tools and Gold Standard Microsite. To maintain the Nuclear Industry Framework including Information regarding job contexts, training standards and training programme guidelines to feed the NSAN Nuclear Passport. Manage the dataset on Career Pathways website.
3 Liaise with colleagues to provide data management support for potential digital solutions to support the Skills for Growth initiative. To maintain the qualification data, course schedule and provider functionality of the Skills Store and co-ordinate with administrators. To co-ordinate the management and distribution of passwords for e-learning with administrators. To be the gatekeeper for Gold Standard database Information ensuring quality control, format and version control To provide advice and examples of templates of existing training framework mapping to enable product developers to build new training materials.
4 To conduct Information audits in order to keep Information up to date and relevant. Liaise with colleagues to scope new functionality for digital platforms, including requirements gathering, development and user testing. Support colleagues to ensure National Occupational Standards are uploaded into UKCES database in correct format and templates. Key Performance Indicators Income from the Skills Store in line with the budget. Skills store & Small Business benchmark metrics produced on a quarterly basis including traffic, enquiries and feedback Customer satisfaction with on-line Company Gold Standards, diagnostic tool and the associated processes.
5 Ensure Gold Standards are uploaded within one month of quality approval, and inform content owners of review dates one month before review deadline. Knowledge Skills and Qualifications Expert in Information systems, database management and general IT solutions Experience with Umbraco (desirable) Broad knowledge of the strategic challenges for the science sector Enthusiastic about skills development with some understanding of the skills being analysed Have an understanding of Cogent Products and Services Degree or equivalent experience in an Information Technology discipline Highly motivated self-starter.
