Introduction to Low Density Parity Check Codes

A low-density parity check (LDPC) code is a linear block code whose parity check matrix has a small number of one’s. The number of 1’s in an LDPC code’s matrix grows linearly with the size N. The number of 1’s in a regular-density matrix grows as N·(M-N).
