5 It provides a sense of structure and measure ofprogress as well as flexibility for you to customise your processes to your own context. March 2000 the Minister of Labour established twenty five Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs), whichcover every sector in the economy. SETAs have replaced the thirty three Industry Training Boards. The InsuranceSector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), was established as one of the twenty five SETAs. INSETA represents the training and skills development interests of ten sub-sectors within the Insurance Sector.

6 Theseinclude: short and long-term insurance, pension funding, risk management, unit trusts, healthcare benefits, funeralinsurance, reinsurance and financial intermediaries.
