5 Facilities include the Mary GibbsMississippi Headwaters Center, featuring a gift shop,restrooms, cafe and outdoor interpretive Programs. Campfire programs, nature hikes,tours and children s activities are offered weekendsand weekdays during the summer and fall, and peri-odically during winter and spring. Check park infor-mation boards or ask for a copy of the current schedule. Join in the fun!Pine Ridge Campground. 155 campsites are available,65 are electric sites. Three modern toilet facilities withhot showers available mid-May through early October. In winter, camping is rustic, with pit toilets, and wateravailable at the visitor Paw Campground. 79 campsites are available; 68are drive-in sites, 34 are electric and 11 are cart-in sites(300 yards or less). One modern toilet facility, V. Brower Visitor Center. park information, rest-rooms, gift shop and interpretive Sanitation Station.

6 Located in Bear Paw Sites. Eleven backpack campsites are availableyear-round with a 1 to 5 mile hiking distance into thesouthern half of the Ozawindib Group Camp. A semi-modern campwith staff cabin, dining hall and kitchen, modern toiletfacility with showers, and tenting Lake Group Camp. A primitive camp with water,pit toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, small shelter withtables, and a tenting Douglas Lodge. Open Memorial Day throughearly October, the Douglas Lodge has been accommo-dating guests for over 100 years. It has a large, relaxinglobby with a stone fireplace, a dining room and a coffeeshop open to the public, and redecorated, historicsuites and guest rooms on the second Suites. One bedroom, sitting area, screened porchand Clubhouse. Constructed in 1911, the Clubhouse,with 10 rooms, lobby and porch, is rented for familyreunions or group use during the summer and East Station Cabin.

7 Two bedrooms, living room,fireplace, bathroom and One, two, and three bedroom cabins are locatedin the Douglas Lodge area. Housekeeping cabins areavailable in Bear Paw Lodge Dining. Breakfast, lunch and dinner areserved throughout the summer. A coffee shop is openwhen the main dining room is Inn. The upper level is available for Shops. The Visitor Center, Headwaters and ForestInn gift shops carry a broad mix of gifts, souvenirs,books and Area. Picnic along Lake ITASCA . A picnic shelteris available and can be rented for your exclusive Drive. This 10-mile, one-way scenic driveheads west from the Heawaters and ends near DouglasLodge. There are many spectacular sights along Beach. The park s swimming beach andchanging house is located just south of Brower ITASCA Tours. Join your friends on a narratednaturalist tour of Lake ITASCA aboard the ChesterCharles excursion boat.

8 The boat departs from thepier below Douglas , Canoeing and Biking. Bring your boat, canoe,or bike or rent one on site. To rent boats for LakeOzawindib, Elk Lake and Lake ITASCA , check at theItasca Sports Sports Rental. Located at the Lake ITASCA boatlanding. Offers a wide selection of rental equipmentincluding: bikes, boats and canoes. Biking and fishingaccessories are also Trail. A mile, paved bicycle trail along the eastside of Lake ITASCA connects the Douglas Lodge areato the Mississippi Headwaters. For the full bike tourof ITASCA STATE park , continue around WildernessDrive another 10 miles of spectacular Headwaters Hostel. Located across from theboat landing on Main park Drive.
