Competitive On Line Test For Recruitment of Staff Nurses 1. INTRODUCTION. The Government of Maharashtra has decided to recruit 528 competent and efficient staff nurses on the basis of merit through online Competitive Test-2018.

4 Objective: - This competitive test-2018 is meant for recruitment of competent candidates for the post of staff nurses and to appoint selected G N M / (Nursing) trained nurses in the hospital under establishment of Director of Medical education & Research, Mumbai. Competent Authority -Means Director of Directorate Medical Education & Research, Government of Maharashtra who will conduct competitive written test for the post of Staff Nurses. Appeal Committee- A committee under the chairmanship of the Director shall deal with representations submitted by the candidates regarding competitive written test- 2016 and the selection process for the recruitment of the Staff Nurses. G N M. means General Nursing & Midwifery 3 or 3 1/2 Years diploma nursing course ,recognized by the INC New Delhi, M N C Mumbai, from the Institute situated in the Maharashtra state & approved by the Government of Maharashtra. Basic (Nursing) Basic (Nursing) means 4 Years graduate degree course in nursing and Post Basic 2 Years degree Course recognized by the INC, New Delhi, the MNC Mumbai, from the Institute situated in the Maharashtra State &.

Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC) Maharashtra Nursing Council mensI an autonomous body functioning under the jurisdiction of Government of Maharashtra, conduction of various nursing course's examination, the recognition of diploma nursing courses, providing registration & renewal to the candidates who have successfully completed the nursing courses and its renewals. Competitive Online Test - A written test introduced for selection of meritorious Staff Nurse. Scheduled Caste (SC)-Means Scheduled Caste as specified and laid down by the Government of Maharashtra. Vimukta Jati (VJ)"-Means Vimukta Jati as specified and laid down by Government of Maharashtra. Nomadic Tribes (NT)-Means Nomadic Tribes as specified and laid down by Government of Maharashtra. The competitive Online test will be conducted in English only. MHN-CWT-2018 paper will be of 2 hours duration containing 150 multiple choice questions (MCQS). Questions will be of single best response objective type with four answer options.

8 Each correct response shall be awarded one mark. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. Competitive Online test-2018 shall be of the standard of General Nursing &. Midwifery Examination and shall cover all the subjects of GNM Course conducted by MNC Mumbai & B Sc Nursing (Basic/Post Basic) Courses conducted by MUHS. Nasik. Syllabus of Test: - 125 questions shall be based on syllabus of G N M / Basic B Sc Nursing Syllabus and 25 questions shall be General Aptitude test. Total number of posts are 528. The number of vacant post may vary at the time of recruitment. The recruitment to the post of Staff Nurse will be made as per available Post and as per need with taking into account the roster point. 4. ELEGIBILITY. The applicant must be an Indian National and Domicile of Maharashtra State. Educational Qualification: General Nursing Midwifery 3 or 3 1/2 years Diploma Course Or (Basic / Post Basic) Degree Course, The Diploma /. Degree Course should be passed from institution situated in Maharashtra state , recognized by Maharashtra Nursing Council Mumbai and approved by the Govt of Maharashtra.

9 The above Diploma/degree Course should be passed from the institution situated in the state of Maharashtra and recognized by Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai/Maharashtra university of Health sciences Nasik/University situated in the state of Maharashtra, The applicant must be duly registered to the Maharashtra Nursing council Mumbai and should submit registration and Diploma/Degree Certificate with its renewal Any Candidate applying for the said exam before the completion of their respective study course will not be allowed to appear for the MHN-CWT 2018 Examination, A candidate allowed to appear for the said competitive test does not mean that, he /. she is qualified for the appointment to the post of Staff Nurse. The candidate must be medically fit. Fitness certificate must be submitted as per (Annexure F ). He/She has to produce all required original certificates during the process of both provisional &final scrutiny. The Competent Authority shall conduct competitive Online test-2018 for recruitment of Staff nurses evaluate the answer sheets and prepare the Provisional State Merit List.(SML). The Competent Authority will prepare a Provisional State Merit List indicating Merit List Number, Name, Category Merit Number and Marks scored by the Candidate. The same will be made available on Provisional State Merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in descending order.
