2 JOB TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES. 1. Reviews FTE audit trail documentation to ascertain compliance with state laws and school Board Rules for various departments; ESE, ESOL, Vocational, META and Dropout Prevention, including teacher certification and verification of attendance records. 2. Uses M-DCPS online systems and system modifications to assist in the FTE/Attendance review process; recommends system enhancements that will provide problem resolution. 3. Prepares review reports, discusses review findings with appropriate administrators, and recommends corrective actions to be implemented by school sites. 4. Determines or assists the coordinator in planning the review procedures to be used.

3 5. Serves as a liaison between the Auditor General's Office, State of Florida auditors and school site administrators regarding FTE/Attendance related issues. 6. Maintains and monitors DECO online edit correction reports on a continual basis;. recommends and responds to inquiries regarding proper procedures, and assists in resolving unusual and complex problems. 7. Designs/updates in-house forms to be used in review/audit process. 8. Researches/corrects student records using State DOE reports to secure maximum FTE funding. Page 2. Job Code 4236. 9. Develops, conducts and provides district wide inservice training programs for FTE. preparers and administrators; presents workshops to new FTE preparers and administrators regarding FTE guidelines and balancing procedures. 11. Travels to multiple worksites to audit records on a regular basis using personal vehicle;. provides individual training to school staff as needed. 12. Performs related work as required or as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS. This is light work which requires the following physical activities: walking, sitting, grasping, talking, finger dexterity, hearing and visual acuity. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.

5 1. High school diploma or equivalent recognized certificate and either four (4) years experience as a school registrar or (4) years of acceptable related experience OR. Associates degree and either two (2) years experience as a school registrar or two (2). years of acceptable related experience. 2. Considerable experience in FTE accounting/reporting, online registration and student information system maintenance. 3. Knowledge of exceptional student records, teacher certification requirements, dropout prevention, ESOL, META and attendance procedures. 4. Knowledge of State Law modifications and enhancements to educational programs pertaining to attendance and FTE accounting and reporting.

6 5. Knowledge of M-DCPS online systems: ISIS, DECO and PERS. 6. Ability to communicate effectively as evidenced by clarity and conciseness of oral presentations and written documents. 7.
