6 The reader will work well with unshielded cable in most environments. No company can guarantee that data will be reliably transmitted for long dis-tances on unshielded cable in every installation. Typical Wiegand reader installation requires eight-conductor shielded cable to provide reader power, controllercommunication, door contact, exit push button, and tamper switch status. The same functionality is provided by Proximity Perfect readers, supervised withfour-conductor unshielded SUPPORTGE interlogix and its CASI Business Partner Networkoffer a full range of support services including site sur-veys, installation supervision and training.
