2 K-70-100) FM Approved UL Listed CSFM ApprovedDESCRIPTIONThe ESL/ interlogix 700 Series Conventional photoelectricsmoke detector is an interchangeable head and basedetector with a light-scattering optical sensor that providesoutstanding stability and excellent response to a widerange of fires. A pulsed infrared LED light source and ahigh-speed photodiode sensing element are housed in anomnidirectional sensing chamber protected by an insectscreen. For easy cleaning, the detector features a field-replaceable optical chamber (P/N 211-10 PKG).The Model 721UT photoelectric detector includes anintegral fixed temperature and rate-of-rise heat detector.

3 A remote LED indicator is available for Models 721U,721UT, and 741UT Detectors . This functionality requiresthe Model 702U base and the 706U1B Remote LEDindicator. The ESL/ interlogix 700 Series Smoke Detectors areconventional self-diagnostic Detectors specificallydesigned for the demands of commercial and industrialenvironments. If the detector drifts out of its UL Listed sen-sitivity range or fails internal diagnostics, the alarm LEDflashes once a second to indicate a trouble condition. Thismeets NFPA 72 field sensitivity testing requirements with-out the need for external diagnostic information is activated by applying amagnet near the detector s integral reed switch.

4 This initi-ates a self-diagnostic routine and provides visual indica-tion of sensitivity level, or if service is required. Themagnet test causes the LED to blink. The number of blinkcounts corresponds to a Smoke detector sensitivity , if they become dirty over time, ESL/ interlogix 700 Series Detectors automatically adjust the alarm thresholdthrough built-in drift compensation. If the detector needs tobe cleaned, the patented field replaceable optical chambermakes cleaning quick and SPECIFICATIONSThe ESL/ interlogix 700 Series photoelectric Smoke detec-tor is a low-profile, self-diagnostic, two- wire detector thatmonitors its own sensitivity and operational status.

5 Thedetector meets NFPA 72 field sensitivity testing require-ments without the need for external meters. Built-in driftcompensation automatically adjusts the sensitivity if thedetector gets dirty. The ESL/ interlogix 700 Series photo-electric detector features an alarm verification feature tofurther reduce the chance of a nuisance alarm. Normalsensing occurs every 9 seconds. This rate doubles when asignal exceeding the alarm threshold value is sensed. Twoadditional successive signals above the threshold level ini-tiate an alarm.
