1 2 L6 21 EN 2/2018 NELES high CAPACITY TRIPLE ECCENTRIC disc VALVE, METAL seated NELDISC SERIES L6 Metso's Neles series L6 is a double flanged metal seated Neldisc TRIPLE ECCENTRIC disc valve with one piece body design, for both control and tight shut-off applications. It is particularly well suited for the refining, power, petrochemical and chemical L6 incorporates the Neldisc TRIPLE offset metal seated design, which provides extended operational life in control, tight shut-off, high cycle, high temperature and abrasive applications. S- disc flow construction expands application possibilities beyond those of typical butterfly valves . Full rating from ASME 150 to 600 makes the L6 a sound control or shut-off valve and an ideal replacement for gate valves . Excellent on-off capabilities Uniquely functioning full metal seat design assurestightness over long time periods. Contact between disc and seat is mechanicallyinduced and does not rely on assistance from differ-ential pressure.
2 Bi-directional long term tightness is maintained evenin high cycle rate services. Unidirectional in ASME Class600. Tightness in not compromised by large thermalcycling either. Low friction and excellent wear resistance. Lowered operational torque reduces actuator size Heavy-duty stem and bearings arrangement extendsservice life and is insensitive to thermal cycles flow control capabilities Good controllability via smoothly rising installed char-acteristic curve at both very small openings and nearlyfull Cv positions. L6 provides very wide rangeability infairly low pressure drop services. Good dynamic stability in both flow directions. S- disc design provides dynamic torque balancing andnoise abatement, allowing L6 valve use in applicationswhere high performance butterflies could not typicallybe considered. This offers very cost effective controlsolutions. Available with a variety of actuators, positioners andaccessories for single source resistant Solid, sturdy all metal seat design is based on metal-to-metal contact.

When the valve is closed, the elliptical disc at the major axisdisplaces the seat ring outward, causing the seat ring to contactthe disc at the minor axis.
5 The seat ring is able to move freely(except ASME Class 600) in a plane in its recess, to accomodate thedisc in an optimal manner.
