NELES® SERIES E2 WAFER TYPE AND E6 LUG TYPE CERAMIC …

NELES SERIES E2 WAFER TYPE. AND E6 LUG TYPE. CERAMIC ball control valves . Metso's Neles SERIES E CERAMIC ball valve is one of the most erosion resistant control valves available today. It is used in abrasive applications such as lime mud, metal slurries, titanium dioxide and cement production where even stellited surfaces do not last. A new generation CERAMIC material, magnesia partially stabilized zirconia (Mg-PSZ), completely lines the SERIES E flow path. The properties of Mg-PSZ. are superior to the more common ceramics found in other valves , and make it suitable for a wide range of severe service industrial applications.

1 NELES SERIES E2 WAFER TYPE.

2 Designed with a WAFER style body rated for ASME. Class 150 or 300 / PN 10-40 applications, the E2 is available in sizes DN 25 - 100 / 1 - 4 . The flanged E6 is available in sizes DN 25 - 200 / 1 -8" with ASME Class 150 or 300 / PN 10-40 rating. valves made of special alloys are available on request. FEATURES Live loaded PTFE packing Resists mechanical and thermal shock Minimizes fugitive emissions. Eliminates the need for frequent packing adjustment. A transformation toughening process gives Mg-PSZ. high strength and exceptional fracture toughness, High strength making it extremely resistant to mechanical shock.

3 The high tensile strength - 450 MPa exceeds the strength Superior thermal shock resistance capabilities allow for of other ceramics, commonly used in industrial practice, the use of Mg-PSZ without the need for careful warm- to such a degree that this material can be considered ing and cooling of the piping system. This maintains close to steel. CERAMIC integrity and prevents cracking. Mg-PSZ is an ideal replacement for ordinary low Exceptional toughness strength, brittle ceramics. Due to special transformation toughening features the Total erosion resistance CERAMIC material is fracture resistant and not subject to brittleness as traditional ceramics.

4 A completely CERAMIC flow path without metal parts provides maximum erosion resistance. Rigid single piece body A rigid stainless steel body withstands pressure loads and pipeline forces to protect the CERAMIC material. Increased stability and control The ball to stem connection is a strong and backlash free, blade joint design. The blade joint design eliminates lost angular motion between the ball and stem and provides better con- 1 E2 20 EN 12/2016. trol. METSO 1 E2 20 EN. ASSEMBLY DRAWING APPLICATIONS. lime mud control .

It also meets the needs of breakage. The end bushing is screwed to the body enabling easy users who prefer more conventional flanged connections while maintenance. still retaining the advantages of compact size, reduced weight and cost with WAFER pattern valves .
