New features Force setting password reset method 1. If the device is not activated, set at least one way to reset the password when activating it. The password reset methods on the local GUI include Email, Security Question and Hik-Connect. The password reset methods on the web include Email, Security Question and GUID file. 2. If the device has been activated, when the local GUI or Web is logged in as the admin user, if it is detected that the password reset method has not been set, it will be prompted to set at least one password reset method.
2 3. To reset the password by Email, you need to fill in the correct email address. 4. To reset the password by Hik-Connect, you need to add the device to Hik-Connect accout at first. To reset the password by GUID file, if the device exports GUID file once, it is considered that the password reset method has been configured. If the user changes the password and the GUID file becomes invalid, when login again, it will be prompted to set at least one password reset method.
