1 PrimeSource Building Products, Inc. is the importer of record for Pro-Twist brand construction fasteners. All of our fasteners are tested in accordance with and meet all criteria stated in ICC ES AC 118 Acceptance Criteria for Tapping Screw Fasteners. ICC ES AC 118 references and specifies the following documents: ANSI/ASME B SAEJ78 ASTM A370 ASTM B117 ASTM C954 ASTM C1002 ASTM C1513 AISI Test Methods for Mechanically Fastened Cold-Formed Steel Connections (S904) All drywall sharp point screws meet or exceed ASTM C-1002 and ASTM C-1513 requirements for corrosion resistance and performance. All self-drilling screws meet or exceed ASTM C-954 and ASTM C-1513 requirements for corrosion resistance and performance. Pro-Twist brand self-drilling screws are covered under ICC-ES Evaluation Report # ESR-1408. Pro-Twist brand construction fasteners are baked per ASTM B-850 to prevent Hydrogen Embrittlement.
2 All zinc plated screws conform to ASTM F-1941 for corrosion resistance, as tested in accordance with ASTM B-117. Pro-Twist brand construction fasteners conform to the Industrial Fasteners Institute (IFI) specifications for tapping screws published in 2003, Seventh Edition, Section H, Pages H-1 through H-88. Pro-Twist brand construction fasteners are manufactured in ISO 9001 certified and approved mills in Taiwan, Malaysia and China. Grip-Rite brand collated screws are assembled using Pro-Twist brand construction fasteners with plastic, tool-feeding collation strips.
