The light switch (found in light carton) can alsobe located wherever desired by using light switchbracket (22) and Self Tapping Screws (25).
If LightSwitch Bracket is used apply Light Decal (23).G. If the desired location is the dashboard, there aretwo methods of INSTALLATION . The first is to mount thecontrol switch directly in a 3/4" diameter hole in thedash. This is practical on dashboards that are madeof steel with no padding. On plastic dashes, installBracket (18) by drilling 2 holes in the dashboard andsecure using Round Head Machine Screws (26) andLocknuts (24). Install Back-up Plate (20) behind dashfor added stiffness. See illustration. Also applyDanger Decal (30) to To mount control to shift lever, use Bracket (18),Clamp Plate (21), Round Head Machine Screws (26)and locknuts (24).
See Figure After the selected bracket is installed, apply ControlSwitch Decal (19). If Light Switch Bracket (22) isused, also apply Light Decal (23).J. Use Bushing (29) where Harness (2) is routedthrough firewall and radiator support panel. Requires7/8" diameter hole. Be certain to route all wiringaround hot or moving engine PARTS , and any sharpsheet metal. Protection must be provided to guardagainst wire damage at these points. All excess orloose wire must be neatly secured using wire lead from Wiring Harness (2) must beattached to terminal in fuse panel that is activatedonly when the ignition key is "on.
" The three coloredwires in Harness (2) must be routed through grill toE-47 Install Starter Solenoid (3) to metal surface in enginecompartment using Screws (27). (Solenoid must begrounded to operate). Slide Weather Plugs (14 & 15)over Power Cable (11) and Ground Cable (12).Attach Red Power Cable (11) to a large terminal onStarter Solenoid (3) and route plug-end to front ofgrill area of truck. Attach Black Ground Cable (12)to negative (-) terminal of battery and route plug-end to front grill area. Attach 36" Power Cable (13)to positive (+) terminal of battery and remaininglarge terminal on Starter Solenoid (3). Attach smallBlack wire with white stripe from harness (2) to smallterminal on Starter ANGLING CYLINDERS:Attach Power Angling Cylinders (4 & 9) to Sector andA-Frame using bolts (32) and locknuts (33).
When using1-1/2" x 12" rams also install washer (34) at Piston endof Rams (4 & 9).Make certain Ram (4) with hose (5) and Male-half ofcoupler (7) is on Driver's side and Ram (9) with Hose(5) and Female-half of coupler (7) is on the : When the Moldboard Assembly is removed fromthe vehicle, to prevent contamination to the Couplersand Hydraulic system, the and Power AnglingHoses must be re-attached by plugging the coupler (7a,7b) together. Also where the power angling hoses wereuncoupled at the hydraulic unit, attach Coupler Cap (8a)and Plug (8b) to the female and male halves of Angling Cylinders furnished with the ELECTRO-TOUCH have been factory filled with the properamount of fluid.
If for any reason it is necessary to addfluid to Reservoir or to bleed the Power AnglingCylinders, proceed as follows:a. Remove Relief Valve (16) from Reservoir to add fluidduring charging and Temporarily loosen both hose connections at , Power Angling Cylinders. Base end of Cylindermust be higher than Rod end to enable trapped air Angle the Plow in both directions until fluid leaks outat both points in a steady Retighten the hose :Proper fluid level is 1-1/2" below fbe checked withthe lift arm fully retracted (down).ADDITIONAL BATTERY CONNECTIONS:a. When atteching cables to battery with side postterminals, use Adaptor Part #21976 and attach asshown in Figure Figure 2 illustrates the method of using a repair typeterminal connector which is original equipment on 1 Fig.
