RAPID PROCESSING OF DIGITAL TACTICAL DATA

1 vantage software, developed by the Space Dynamics Laboratory, processes and screens TACTICAL imagery in support of various sensors (Global Hawk, SYERS, ASARS, ATARS, Triton, LSRS, etc.) vantage provides RAPID screening of DIGITAL TACTICAL image data from a live data link, solid state recorder, CD/DVD, or hard disk. The advantage of SDL s solution over other ground station solutions is the versatility of the vantage software. The vantage software rapidly processes, stores, screens, and distributes numerous live sensor streams from multi-INT sources, including single- and multi-band electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR), synthetic aperture radar (SAR), hyperspectral (HSI) and multispectral (MSI), full-motion video (FMV), and moving target indicator (MTI).

2 Each of these streams can be configured to use different PROCESSING chains with various secondary PROCESSING plugins, customized data marking, logging, and dissemination. vantage can be sized to run on a ruggedized workstation or distributed across an array of PROCESSING servers. While feature rich, vantage does not require licensing fees and is available with Government use rights, as these rights are maintained via the US Naval Research PROCESSING , DISPLAY & DISSEMINATION vantage is capable of PROCESSING , screening, and disseminating TACTICAL imagery and multi-INT data from a live Common data Link (CDL), solid-state recording device, CD/DVD, Network (IP), or local disk.

3 As the data is ingested and image products are formed, the software displays decimated image thumbnails geo-rectified over a map display. A user may also choose to view images in a full-resolution viewer. Simultaneous to display, vantage can disseminate image products to configured destinations for exploitation by PROCESSING OF DIGITAL TACTICAL DATASDL/08-233 ISPACE DYNAMICS LABORATORYThe vantage Web Client provides a unified user experience for the vantage software. Workflow configuration, data PROCESSING , image/video display, dissemination, and database management can all be completed from the Web Client in a user-friendly, browser-based Web Client is protected by Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), which can be integrated into a local LDAP/Active Directory server, PKI authentication, or through local for operating on image data can be loaded through the Web Client interface and then configured to operate in a data flow.

4 The Web Client enables users to configure various PROCESSING workflows, which consist of data sources and data flows: where the data is coming from and what should be done with the data when it has been received. The Web Client also enables users to display imagery and video data , including associated metadata, in near real time for exploitation and analysis. 7 vantage SOAR allows a user to perform complex data link operations on systems that use the Sky Lynx CDL interface Motion Video displays MPEG-2 and video files and live video streams. It quickly generates video clips, NITF, and JPEG imagery files from video can publish information about imagery in the vantage database to the DCGS Integration Backbone (DIB). The DIB is a web-based system used to share information between deployed military forces and national ViewPoint displays imagery saved on disk in a full resolution display. ViewPoint also enables a user to manipulate image data with templates, annotations, and pseudo color.
