Estimated Non-Fatal Drowning Injuries and Reported Drownings* CPSC publishes an annual report on drowning and non-fatal drowning incidents. Key findings from the 2015 report include: n Nearly 300 children younger than 5 drown in swimming pools and spas each year, representing 76 percent of the 382 fatalities reported for children younger than 15.
