2 Vicissitudes over raced for some distance passing the 1000m. Ancascocha raced wide without cover throughout. White Lioness withdrawn at trainer Mr D Riley will be interviewed relative to his failure to scratch this runner by the prescribed time. Race 2: Maiden Plate 1100m Another Chapter began awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and raced greenly throughout. Stable representative Ms. S Alexander was advised that a warning for poor performance would be placed on the gelding s racing record. Dapkos returned to the race day stalls, collapsed and died. When Questioned, the rider G Ryan stated that the gelding felt normal in its mannerisms during the parade to the start and during the race, however it hung in badly in the home straight and despite its condition giving out over the concluding stages, returned to the mounting enclosure in a good condition. Trainer Mr. P Bloomfield explained that the gelding had worked very well leading into the race, with its closing work being strong three-quarter pace on Thursday 15/3/18.

3 He said that based on that work and the gelding s general condition he was confident that Dapkos would win. Mr. Bloomfield provided treatment records for Dapkos which revealed normal husbandry and no treatments for any health or structural issues. The temperature at the time of death was degrees and the wet bulb thermometer reading was degrees. A veterinary examination was conducted with the most likely cause of death being diagnosed as heart attack, with the climatic conditions not considered a factor. A post mortem urine sample was obtained and the body was transferred to Camden university for autopsy. Luckenbach Texas was bumped at the start and became unbalanced. Me Auld Segotia began awkwardly and missed the start (2L). Our Boy Boudi trainer Ms. D Seib was advised that warnings for being difficult to place in the barrier and poor performance would be placed on the geldings racing record. Such A Hussy raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.

4 Shiver Me Timbers began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Race 3: Benchmark 55 Handicap 1100m Zroya hung out during the early and middle stages. Musical Family became unbalanced when racing ungenerously passing the 500m. Race 4: Class 1 Handicap 900m Bridyn May raced ungenerously rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight. Arleta raced wide without cover. Stannis Baratheon slow to begin. Race 5: Benchmark 56 Handicap 1600m Boolaroo when questioned in relation to his riding for a short distance inside the 200m, G Buckley explained that whilst his mount had been fully extended from the 400m, it hung in under pressure and he heard another rider call to him near the 200m, where he ceased strong vigour to ascertain his clearance. He said that after this he rode again rode vigorously however did not gain a strong response. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had some abrasions in its left nostril.

5 Miss Redoble was unable to obtain clear running at any stages of the home straight and went to the finish without being fully tested. When questioned A Bullock stated that with the benefit of hindsight he should have ignored his instructions and allowed his mount to lead. He said that had he done this this Miss Redoble would have been better advantaged. Trainer Mr. T Bartley said that although his appraisal of the race indicated the tempo would be slow, he instructed A Bullock not to lead as the filly had had a month between races and he felt that if Miss Redoble led at a strong pace it would have been detrimental to its finishing effort. Vihara missed the start (2L), then hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Race 6: Class 1 & Maiden Plate 1600m Shangato had to be checked and shifted in abruptly near the 1500m. Table Mountain raced in restricted room at the entrance to the home straight when attempting to secure clear running.

6 Placed second. Prior to the declaration of correct weight connections viewed the official footage and declined to lodge an objection against the winner. Missybeel raced fiercely in the early stages. The rider G Ryan pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that passing the 150m, he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of Table Mountain, which was crowded onto Lips N Lashes, which was forced into the line of Uncle Rodriguez, which had to be steadied and lost its rightful running. G Ryan s license to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence 26/3/18 and expire 2/4/18, on which day he may resume. Uncle Rodriguez was hampered and carried wider by Lips N Lashes (B Cray) passing the 100m. B Cray was subsequently reprimanded (AR137a). Last Side a post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Race 7: Class 5 Plate 1400m Epic Decision raced fiercely during the early and middle stages.

7 De La Hoya had to be checked and lost ground near the 1100m. M Bell, the rider of Cearless Choice, subsequently pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, (AR137a), in that passing the 1000m he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of Love None which was crowded onto Suncraze, which whilst racing ungenerously, was carried in onto De La Hoya which had to be checked. Taking into account all the circumstances, including M Bell s good record in relation to issues of carelessness and the manner that Suncraze was racing at that time, his license to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence 25/3/18 and expire 31/3/18, on which day he may resume. Unbiased slow to begin. My Tagoson crowded between runners at the start. Remittance began awkwardly. Love None sustained an abrasion to its of hind leg during the race. Try A Lil Harder hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight, then raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.

8 Race 8: Class 2 Plate 1300m Our Sebring bled during the race. Trainer Mr. R Northam was advised of the provisions of AR53A, relative to a first event bleed. Love For Willow slow to begin. Unique Shadow slow to begin. White Eagle slow to begin. Summary of whip use Race 7: C Brown Suncraze 8 strikes prior to the 100m. Considering the totality of use, no action was taken. Race 1: K Holding Zizangga Zou 8 strikes prior to the 100m when out of contention reprimand General: Swab samples were taken from all winners and the following runners: Gacela, Such A Hussy, Boolaroo, St Luke (pre-race), Al Cubana, Suncraze (pre-race), Unbiased, Caerless Choice & Dapkos (post mortem).
