1 Top jobs in demand list grows The Department of Higher Education and Training is expected to publish an updated list of occupations in demand in 2017. The Department s current list, which was published at the beginning of 2016, is based upon the data gathered during 2015. The latest list, which includes the 2014 occupations , has been improved by reorganising and extending the list. The list is also referenced as Gazette 39604 was developed to help identify skills that meet the needs of individual citizens, communities and the economy, as well as in meeting the broader social developmental objectives of the country.
