Trauma is common for people in Canada overall, especially those with mental health and substance use concerns: • 76 per cent of Canadian adults report some form of trauma exposure in their lifetime; 9.2 per cent meet the criteria for PTSD.[3] • 90 per cent of women in treatment for alcohol problems at five Canadian treatment centres
