1 Page 1 of 2 VACANCY The following VACANCY has become available at Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb THE POSITION: converter SLURRY FILTERATION OPERATOR ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: The incumbent will report to the Shift Foreman: Acid Plant and Handling, and be accountable for: Pre start-up and routine equipment inspections. Sampling. Making up or mixing reagents ( soda ash or lime). Filter cake packing and loading. Shift handovers, take-overs, start-ups and pre-maintenance activities. Ensuring all Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb Health, Safety and Environment standards and policies are always adhered to. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A Grade 12 Certificate with 23 points in six subjects, a D symbol in English, Mathematics and Physical Science or equivalent.
2 Five years metallurgical plant work experience. Experience as an Effluent Treatment Plant Assistant Operator or Utility Operator in a Sulphuric Acid Plant or similar environment will be an advantage. Fault finding and problem solving. Computer literacy (MS Office Suite). Code B driver s license and Equipment Operator s license (forklift and overhead crane) will added advantages. Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well in a team.
