What Is Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA)?
Some people with ABPA will develop bronchiectasis, a form of airway damage that can result in worse lung . function and increased risk of infection. Bronchiectasis can also occur in people who have lung diseases that cause chronic inflammation (swelling) in the lungs, such as chronic infections, asthma, or cystic fibrosis.
