After my speech, I was pleased that two teachers wanted to share their classroom experiences with the a trip to Africa, one teacher said, he returned to his classroom of mostly African-American students and began identifying them with various ethnic groups, "You look like a Fulani boy I saw in Northern Nigeria," he commented to a young man.
