Page 1 ASSET Integrity Management Handbook Dr. Peter McClean Millar Page 2 Author s Notes Dedicated to my wife , Stephanie This book came about because my son, who had just started his MSc in Offshore Engineering at Cranfield University, said to me that since I supposedly knew a fair bit about ASSET Integrity Management, I should write a book on it. As I d previously written several books on diving and dive watches, I thought; hey, now that s not a bad idea. What you have here is a collection of information dealing with what I consider to be the most important aspects of ASSET Integrity Management. Some of it is based on papers and articles I have written, but considerably more is unashamedly blagged from many other sources that I consider to be far more knowledgeable than me on the subject matter.
