While effective ther-apy is available for both conditions, there are majorchallenges in the concurrent treatment of HIV and TB co-infection. This review examines the interactions betweenHIV and TB infections and reviews the current status ofhighly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) in patientswith co-infection.
