Vidyaratna, Director I of this department to fulfill the data needs of Sri LANKA for the preparation of the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) Regional POVERTY Profile. Identification of data sources, coordination with the divisions/ departments to obtain necessary data and editing was done by her with the assistance of Miss. W. J. Nigamuni Senior Statistician of this department. The information in respect of various subject matter areas was supplied by the respective divisions of the Department of Census and statistics (DCS).
