Of the three, cracks are by far themost detrimental. Whereas there are acceptable limitsfor slag inclusions and porosity in welds, cracks arenever acceptable. Cracks in a weld , or in the vicinity ofa weld , indicate that one or more problems exist thatmust be addressed.
