Repeat forthe second ladder the end of one of the treads intoone of the keyhole slots of the ladderleg. (The warning on the tread shouldbe facing the front of ladder).
3 It maybe necessary to tap the tread into the slot using a mallet or the tread downward so that it seatsfully into the bottom of the keyhole above procedures using threemore treads making sure all of thewarning labels on treads are facing thefront of ladder. Do not attach the bottom tread at this both handrails on a flat surface. Using a Phillips screwdrivertap out the plastic film from the twoholes located on the flat side of each handrail over the flat arealocated on top of ladder leg. Insertone of the 1/4 - 20 x 1" bolts throughthe ladder leg into the handrail. Placeone 1/4 - 20 hex nut into therecessed area on the handrail andtighten using a Phillips the second bolt and to assemble the second lad-der leg/handrail : This ladder fits deck heights of 42" to 54".
4 2 TREADHANDRAILEXTENSION 6100X-wBarrierR12:Confer 6100_12-05_R1 9/14/12 10:01 AM Page the remaining tread tothe bottom of ladder as two (2) 1/4-20 x2" bolts andtwo (2) acornnuts fastenthe extension boots to the ladder the ladder section down as shownand tap the two handrail connectorsinto the slots with the warning labelsfacing the two adjustable tubehandrails to the handrail the handrails at the top andfasten with a #10 x 1-1/4" for the other the adjustable tubes with a smallamount of liquid soap or lubricant andslide the tube up through the mounting block as boots are not required fora 48" pool. If you have a 48" pool goto step # 12 to continue you have a 52" or tallerpool extension boots will be a Phillips screwdriver tap out theplastic film from the top hole on eachside of the extension a 52 pool slide the extension bootall the way on until the top holes onthe ladder legs and extension bootsare aligned.
5 If you have a 54 pool,back the extension boot off to thenext lower the remaining ladder leg assembly to the opposite ends of the four treads making sure that the curved upper ends areboth facing in the same direction. Tap the treads into place making sure that they are fully seated into the keyhole 6100X-wBarrierR12:Confer 6100_12-05_R1 9/14/12 10:01 AM Page the assembled tube/blockassembly up into the open endof the adjustable tube handrailas Ladder did not include Barrier, skip steps 19 through 21. Continue to step Small and Large BarrierSections into slots on LowerBase as Barrier sections at the topslightly and position Upper Brace overSmall Barrier Section.
6 Next, spread the fingers on the Upper Brace and slideinto position on the Large Barrier the Base and Brace into position, centered, onthe bottom and fourth treads of the ladder. Install thefour (4) #10 x 1-1/4" screws (included in hardwarepack) on a slight angle, first in the Upper brace, then inthe Lower Base. Install the self-adhering foam strips tothe Large Barrier Section as shown in the ladder legs with water through the top fill holes andcover the holes with the plastic plugs. Place the ladder intothe pool, submerge the treads, and tip it sideways so thatthe treads fill a with water. Position the ladder at thedesired location on the deck, making sure that the bottomtread is resting on the floor of the pool and the barrier is asclose to pool wall as possible.
7 Slide the adjustable tubes inor out as required so that they are resting on the deck surface, and the handrail connectors are level. Fasten themounting blocks to the deck surface with eight (8) #10 x 1-1/4" screws. Secure the adjustable tubes to the AdjustableTube Handrail, at the pre-marked locations using two (2)#10 x 1-1/4" screws in each : Ladder MUST be filled with water to prevent : To winterize your ladder unfasten the ladder from the deck and pull the ladder from the the two plugs and lay the ladder on its side to allow the majority of the water to drain out of it. A smallamount of water left in the ladder will notcause any damage.
8 Replace the plugs into the fill holes so that they do not get lost.
