2 You can open the Knowledge Builder directly from the Decision Guide by clicking on the hyperlink under the Knowledge Builder heading. How can I see where my request is in the approval process? You will have the ability to easily identify where your request currently resides within the approval process. Simply open your Team Member s record to review Worker History. Please refer to the workday Navigation Knowledge Builder for detailed instructions on how to review Worker History. Why don t I see the change I submitted on my Team Member s record in workday ? Changes to your Team Member s record will not show until all the Business Process steps have been fully completed (and in some cases you as the Leader need to accept the proposed changes).

3 In addition, if the effective date for the change is in the future you will not see the change on the Team Member record until it is effective. You always have the ability to view any pending changes by clicking Worker History on your Team Member s record. How do I combine two positions? workday Business Processes are designed to help you easily manage your positions; however, the process will differ from the process utilized in VMI. If you would like to close one position and change another, you can specify this in the comments when using the Edit Position Restrictions business process. In your comments, be certain to include the position numbers for the position you would like to remove so Operational Approvers and your Finance Reviewer will know which positions you are adjusting.

4 You will always have access to your headcount detail by running the RGHS: Supervisory Org Positions report. This report can be found under the My Team worklet, or in the search bar. workday FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 2 Where can I find the position number for my vacant position ? From the workday home screen click on Headcount, then click on the Organization that includes your name. Positions for your Supervisory Organization are shown in 3 separate headings: Members (contains positions with Incumbents), Staffing (contains positions with Posted Job Requisitions) Unavailable to Fill (contains vacant positions that are not posted). Click on the appropriate heading to open a listing of the positions in your Supervisory Organization that fall under the category you selected.

5 If you don t have any positions in the Unavailable to fill category, you will not see this menu option. How can I separate one Full-Time position into two Part-Time positions? 1. Identify one of the positions and use the Edit Position Restrictions Business Process to change the time type to part time. 2. Create a new position using the Create Job Requisition and use the comments section to reference the position number that you changed from Full Time to Part Time in step one. How do I change attributes for a position that is already Posted? The process to change the attributes for a position that is already posted will vary depending upon the changes you need to make.

6 You will need to work closely with your Recruiter if you need to change the attributes of a position that is already posted. Please contact your Recruiter directly if you need to make a change to an existing job posting, to ensure all necessary systems and fields are updated appropriately and avoid any delay in the hiring process. What is the system availability? workday is available around the clock, except during regularly scheduled maintenance. This maintenance occurs every Friday night from 11 PM to 2 AM.
