2 The term Shop Drawings as used herein shall be understoodto include detail design calculations, Shop Drawings, fabrication drawings, installationdrawings, erection drawings, lists, graphs, operating instructions, catalog sheets, datasheets, and similar Shop Drawing Submittals shall be accompanied by the CONTRACTOR s standardsubmittal transmittal form. Any submittal not accompanied by such a form, or where allapplicable items on the form are not completed, will be returned for , a separate transmittal form shall be used for each specific item or class ofmaterial or equipment for which a submittal is required. Transmittal of a submittal ofvarious items using a single transmittal form will be permitted only when the items takentogether constitute a manufacturer s package or are so functionally related thatexpediency indicates review of the group or package as a whole.

3 A multiple-pagesubmittal shall be collated into sets, and each set shall be stapled or bound, asappropriate, prior to transmittal to the 01300 CONTRACTOR SUBMITTALSSTANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR CIVIL ENGINEERINGCONTRACTOR SUBMITTALSPROJECTS AND SUBDIVISION IMPROVEMENTSPage 01300 -2 December 2003 Includes changes listed in 1/15/04 Errata as may otherwise be provided herein, the ENGINEER will return prints of eachsubmittal to the CONTRACTOR with its comments noted thereon, within 30 calendardays following receipt of them by the ENGINEER. It is considered reasonable that theCONTRACTOR shall make a complete and acceptable submittal to the ENGINEER bythe second submission of a submittal item. The OWNER reserves the right to withholdmonies due to the CONTRACTOR to cover additional costs of the ENGINEER s reviewbeyond the second submittal . The ENGINEER s maximum review period for eachsubmittal including all re- Submittals will be 30 days per submission.

The CONTRACTOR shall beresponsible for the dimensions and the design of adequate connections and SAMPLES SUBMITTALA. Whenever in the Specifications samples are required, the CONTRACTOR shall submitnot less than three (3) samples of each item or material to the ENGINEER for acceptanceat not additional cost to the Samples, as required herein, shall be submitted for acceptance a minimum of 21 daysprior to ordering such material for delivery to the job site, and shall be submitted in anorderly sequence so that dependent materials or equipment can be assembled andreviewed without causing delays in the All samples shall be individually and indelibly labeled or tagged indicating thereon allspecified physical characteristics and supplier's names for identification and submitted tothe ENGINEER for acceptance.

9 List of all electrical relay settings including alarm and contract The CONTRACTOR shall furnish to the ENGINEER five identical sets of technicalmanuals. Each set shall consist of one or more volumes, each of which shall be bound ina standard size, 3-ring, loose-leaf vinyl plastic hard cover binder suitable for bookshelfstorage. Binder ring size shall not exceed inches. The spare parts list shallbe limited to those spare parts which each manufacturer recommends be maintained bythe OWNER in the inventory at the plant site. Each manufacturer or supplier shallindicate the name, address, and telephone number of its nearest outlet of spare parts tofacilitate the OWNER in ordering. The CONTRACTOR shall cross-reference all spareparts lists to the equipment numbers designated in the Contract Documents. The spareparts lists shall be bound in standard size, 3-ring, loose leaf, vinyl plastic hard coverbinders suitable for bookshelf storage. Binder ring size shall not exceed RECORD DRAWINGS SUBMITTALSA. The CONTRACTOR shall keep and maintain, at the job site, one record set of these, it shall mark all project conditions, locations, configurations, and any otherchanges or deviations which may vary from the details represented on the originalContract Drawings, including buried or concealed construction and utility features whichare revealed during the course of construction.
