By:AAHolland BILL TO BE ENTITLEDAN ACTrelating to a prohibition on the sale of court records filed throughthe statewide electronic filing IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF I, Chapter51, Government Code, isamended by adding Section to read as ON SALE OF COURT RECORDS. A personoperating a system approved by the supreme court as required electronically file a court record in a court inthis state as part of the statewide electronic filing system may notsell or offer to sell a copy of any court record filed through thesystem unless the person selling or offering to sell the document isthe clerk of the court in which the document was originally Act takes effect immediately if it receivesa vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, asprovided by Section39, Article III, Texas Constitution.
