2 Counterintelligence is vital to our nation's security as well as the security of the Army. You will be part of a special program and upon graduation will be a qualified Counterintelligence Special Agent. You will be entrusted to protect national defense information from adversarial Foreign Intelligence Services and International Terrorist Organizations, and prevent insider threats. You will have the opportunity to work in diverse operational environments on your own, or as part of a team. The Mission of CounterintelligenceCounterintelligence Agents are integral to providing Army personnel with information about enemy intelligence capabilities and intent, and countering those capabilities. The Counterintelligence Agent is primarily responsible for supervising and conducting Counterintelligence surveys and investigations to detect, identify, assess, counter, exploit and neutralize adversarial, Foreign Intelligence Service and terrorist threats to national TrainingJob training for a Counterintelligence (CI) Agent requires 17 weeks and 4 days of attendance at the Counterintelligence Special Agent Course (CISAC) and on-the-job instruction, including practice in CI investigations, operations and analysis.
3 Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field. Some of the skills you'll learn are:* CI Investigations * Evidence collection * Preparing CI reports * Using computer systems * CI analysis* CI Source Operations* Surveillance Helpful attributes include:* An outgoing personality* An interest in gathering information and studying its meaning * An ability to organize information * An ability to think and write clearly* An ability to work independently or with minimal supervision Selection CriteriaThe following criteria are required for all applicants:* 21 Years Old (Minimum) or be at least 21 years old upon completion of 35L Course*Eligible to obtain/maintain a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI access* Minimum rank of SPC with TIS/TIG forpromotion to E-5 in the primary or secondary zone -upon school graduation -must be BLC graduate* Minimum ST Score of 101* PULHES on Physical Profile no higher than 222221 * Free of objectionable accents or speech impediments* Knowledge of the English language in both verbal and written form* Ability to reason and express yourself in writing* Must be able to pass a standard APFT and be in compliance with weight and body fat standards IAW AR 600-9* Must hold a valid civilian drivers license* Minimum of16 months remaining upon completion of the 35L Course -you will be required to extend or
