Fact Sheet: Buprenorphine
• A buprenorphine induction serves two primary purposes: o Prevent precipitated withdrawal o Know the correct dose of buprenorphine needed to stop a person’s withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings • Depending on the provider and treatment setting, the buprenorphine induction can happen in an office setting or at a person’s home.
