3 20- When I try to update Education and search my school by state, the options given are not accurate. Why is that? 21- I tried to update my information in workday but get an error that says this person has pending actions that conflict with this one. How do I resolve this? 22- We don't have Job History, Work Experience, Education and Certifications in the task. I thought we wanted those updated as well. 1. Why are we asking employees to validate their personal data? In tandem with Emergency Preparedness planning, Open Enrollment, corporate best practices and federal compliance, we are initiating an annual reminder to employees to update their personal information in workday , our system of record for all employees.
4 This ensures accurate information in times of emergencies. 9/11/2017. Booz Allen Internal Use Only 1. 2. How does the process work? Each employee will receive a personalized request via workday . They will receive twice weekly reminders for one month until the process is completed. 3. Can I do the task on my mobile device? Yes, but you will have a better experience on an iPad and an optimal experience from a desktop. If you must use your mobile device, you need to login with your browser to workday rather than the workday APP. 4. What are the dates for this task? Sept. 18 to Oct. 13. 5. What happens if I don't validate my personal data?
5 It may impact our ability to support you in case of emergency and could affect your benefits. 6. How much time does it take to validate my personal data? The time required depends on how current your information is. Our tests indicate an average of 10. minutes if there is a good starting point. 7. Are any of the data fields for only versus internationally-based employees? All Employees firmwide will have access to the following tasks: - Dependent - Emergency Contact - Home Address - Personal Information - Beneficiary Only based employees will have access to the following tasks: Disability Status, Military Service, Military Spouse, Vet Status, Race/Ethnicity.
6 Only based employees will have access to the following task: Country of Birth 8. What about staff who are on leave? Employees who are on a paid leave such as Short Term Disability should complete this action upon their return. If the task is no longer available, they should use the associated Job Aids to update their personal information. 9. Why am I getting tasks related to benefits if I changed my address? A change in address may result in a change in benefit plan eligibility. If your benefit plan eligibility has changed, a benefit event will be sent to your workday inbox. You will need to complete the benefit event within 31 days of the effective date of your address change to avoid a lapse in coverage.

What other updates to my information should I consider? Other items to consider updating are benefits elections (adding or removing a spouse or domestic partner, if applicable), tax forms (changing number of exemptions), and proof of name change. Tax forms can be found at 11. In workday , I have the option to indicate my preferred name. Does this impact any other systems? No, unless you send a Help Desk ticket to update the Global Address List and email.
8 12. What are the next steps if I have indicated a gender change? Changes will be needed for tax forms. Note that a gender designation must be provided in order to be enrolled in any firm provided healthcare benefits. Tax forms can be found at 13. Why are we asking about military spouse information? Although the firm is not required to report how many of our employees are military spouses, we strive to expand our commitment to the principles of equal opportunity employment and diversity and inclusion and to better support our military spouse workforce. Please note the radio button under Military Service for Reservist and also for Military Spouse.
9 14. When I try and update my Dependents, it says I don't have any. Why? The only dependents that will appear for you to update are those that are covered under your Booz Allen benefits plans. If you are not covering any individuals under your benefit plans, no dependents will appear. 15. After I complete Dependents and Beneficiaries tasks, it does not take me back to the overall task. What should I do? Go back to your workday inbox to get back into the task. 16. What are next steps if my citizenship status changes? Changes will be needed for tax forms and possibly for benefits. Note that there are significant tax implications for VISA changes, moving on and off student VISA status.
10 It's important to update your records with any changes. Tax forms can be found at 17. What changes do I need to make if my new home address crosses state lines? Changes may be needed for tax forms (see note above). A change in address may also result in a change in benefit plan eligibility. If you benefit plan eligibility has changed, a benefit event will automatically open in your workday inbox. You will need to complete the benefit event within 31 days of the effective date of your address change to avoid a lapse in coverage. Employee is required to update address immediately in workday . Retro updated addresses will not be accepted in Payroll for tax purposes.
