1 HTMS Summer Reading List 2015 6th Grade English and Social Studies Requirements- 6th grade Upcoming sixth graders should read one of the following over the Summer for English and one of the following for social studies. Students will take a quiz on the social studies book during the first nine weeks of school. They will take an online test for English over the Summer . The books will also be used for discussion during the first nine weeks. Students should have their own copy of the books (either purchased or checked out from the library) to use during class discussions.
