3 Neither assumes responsibility for nor authorizes any otherperson purporting to act on its behalf to modify or to change thiswarranty, nor to assume for it any other warranty or liability con-cerning this disclaimer of warranties and limited warranty are governedby the laws of the province of Ontario, : Digital Security Controls Ltd. recommends that theentire system be completely tested on a regular basis. 4 Will at its option repair or replace out-of-warranty products which are returned to its factory according tothe following conditions. Anyone returning goods to Digital Secu-rity Controls Ltd. must first obtain an authorization number. DigitalSecurity Controls Ltd. will not accept any shipment whatsoever forwhich prior authorization has not been which Digital Security Controls Ltd. determines to be re-pairable will be repaired and returned. A set fee which Digital Secu-rity Controls Ltd. has predetermined and which may be revised fromtime to time, will be charged for each unit which Digital Security Controls Ltd. determines not to berepairable will be replaced by the nearest equivalent product avail-able at that time.

5 The current market price of the replacement prod-uct will be charged for each replacement WARRANTYD igital Security Controls Ltd. warrants the original purchaser thatfor a period of twelve months from the date of purchase, the prod-uct shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship undernormal use. During the warranty period, Digital Security ControlsLtd. shall, at its option, repair or replace any defective product uponreturn of the product to its factory, at no charge for labour andmaterials. Any replacement and/or repaired parts are warranted forthe remainder of the original warranty or ninety (90) days,whichever is longer.

6 The original owner must promptly notify Digi-tal Security Controls Ltd. in writing that there is defect in materialor workmanship, such written notice to be received in all eventsprior to expiration of the warranty WarrantyThe warranty for international customers is the same as for anycustomer within Canada and the United States, with the exceptionthat Digital Security Controls Ltd. shall not be responsible for anycustoms fees, taxes, or VAT that may be ProcedureTo obtain service under this warranty, please return the item(s) inquestion to the point of purchase. All authorized distributors anddealers have a warranty program.

7 Anyone returning goods to Digi-tal Security Controls Ltd. must first obtain an authorization num-ber. It does not cover: damage incurred in shipping or handling; damage caused by disaster such as fire, flood, wind, earthquakeor lightning; damage due to causes beyond the control of Digital Security Con-trols Ltd. such as excessive voltage, mechanical shock or waterdamage; damage caused by unauthorized attachment, alterations, modifi-cations or foreign objects; damage caused by peripherals (unless such peripherals were sup-plied by Digital Security Controls Ltd.)

8 ; defects caused by failure to provide a suitable installation envi-ronment for the products; damage caused by use of the products for purposes other thanthose for which it was designed; damage from improper maintenance; damage arising out of any other abuse, mishandling or improperapplication of the Your Security SystemYour DSC security equipment has been designed to provide you with the greatest possible flexibilityand convenience. Read this Manual carefully and have your installer instruct you on your system soperation and on which features have been implemented in your system. All users of this systemshould be equally instructed in its use.

9 Fill out the System Information page with all of your zoneinformation and access codes and store this Manual in a safe place for future DetectionThis equipment is capable of monitoring fire detection devices such as smoke detectors and providinga warning if a fire condition is detected. Good fire detection depends on having adequate number ofdetectors placed in appropriate locations. This equipment should be installed in accordance standard #72. ( , Batterymarch Park, Quincey MA 02269). Carefully review the FamilyEscape Planning guidelines in this : Your installer must enable the fire detection portion of this equipment before it will insure that your system continues to work as intended, you must test your system weekly.
