6 CAUTIONLOCATION If this is a replacement installation, locate theL4064 in the same location as the control beingreplaced. Sensing tube length should be same asold control. If this is a new installation, the elementshould be installed only by a trained, experiencedservice technician according to the furnacemanufacturer s instructions. The element must nottouch any internal part of the furnace. The electrical rating is at maximum switchtemperature of 190OF (88OC). Use Nos. 14 to 18 size wire, depending onelectrical requirement.

9 2. Attach 1/4 in. ( mm) male flag connector toeach wire. Two male connectors with leadwires aresupplied. 3. Push male flag connector directly into thefemale receptacle. 10 1. To remove the slotted knockout(s), use aneedlenose pliers as shown in Fig. 5 and pull straightdown. 2. If cable is used, we recommend using a strain reliefbushing in the knockout (Fig. 6). Pass the wires throughbushing before MOUNTING L4064 may also be swivel-mounted. The swivelbracket requires a 1-9/16 in. ( mm) hole in theplenum (Fig. 2). 1. Use bracket as a template to mark the locationof mounting holes in plenum. Drill or punch holesfor mounting screws. 2. Fasten the brackets in place with furnishedscrews. Start the screws but do not tighten. 3. Insert element tube through bracket, straightencontroller, and fasten. Tighten the mounting screwssecurely. It may be necessary to rotate the bracketto tighten all screws 2 - Swivel mounting requires a 1-9/16 in. ( ) diameter mounting hole for element brass jumper is the breakaway type. It must beremoved when the Limit is used in the low voltagecircuit.
