1 Opt In for Electronic -Only W-2 by Dec. 31 With the end of the year right around the corner, it won't be long until it will be time to start thinking about preparing your tax return. One critical item that you will need in order to file your taxes is your Wage and Tax Statement (or W-2 statement). The form W-2 details your compensation and tax withholdings for the year. Trinity Health will provide both a hard-copy and an Electronic copy of your W-2, unless you specifically opt in to receive an Electronic -Only copy. Doing so offers several protections. Electronic -Only W-2 protects your Personal Information There are several benefits of only receiving your W-2 electronically: your sensitive personal information, including your Social Security number, will not be sent through the mail .

2 There is no possibility that the W-2 might be lost, delayed or misplaced by the Postal Service. According to the Office of Inspector General of the Postal Service, 88 million pieces of mail were lost or delayed in Fiscal Year 2014. Access is available through the same easy-to-use, secure Workday website that you access your pay advice, benefits and other important work-life information. Go green and save our natural resources. Help steward our Ministry resources. Each hard-copy W-2 costs about $ (including supplies, labor and postage). The money saved by opting for an Electronic copy of your W-2 can be used for other efforts to support those we serve. It's Easy to Opt In for your Electronic -Only W-2 To consent to receive your W-2 electronically and go paperless, follow these steps: 1.

3 Log on to Workday. 2. Click on the Pay icon. 3. In the View section, click "My Tax Documents." 4. Click on the "Edit" button in the Printing Election area. * a. *Note: If you transferred in 2018 you may have two or more lines on this page. If so, you must follow instructions 4 through 7 for each line. 5. Click "OK" on the Change Year-End Tax Documents Printing Elections page. 6. Select the radio button next to "Receive Electronic copy of my Year-End Tax Documents." 7. Click the "Ok" button. 8. That's it. You'll receive an Alert in your Workday inbox to let you know when the W-2 is available, which we anticipate will be mid-January. To access the Alert, click on the alarm bell icon in the bar at the top right of your Workday home page. The deadline for opting in for Electronic only W-2 is Dec.

4 31, 2018. Note: Even if you signed up last year to receive your W-2 electronically through the ADP portal, you'll need to do so again for 2018 as the process is now entirely handled through Workday. Once you've consented to receive an Electronic copy through Workday, it will remain valid for all future tax years or until you revoke your consent. If you do not consent to an Electronic -Only copy, we will send a paper copy by mail to your address on record in Workday. It will be postmarked and mailed no later than Jan. 31, 2019.
