1 RHEEM LIMITED WARRANTY PARTSSCOPE of WARRANTY and EQUIPMENT COVERED:The equipment cov-ered by this LIMITED WARRANTY is specified on the reverse side. Manufacturer, RHEEM AIR CONDITIONING DIVISION, will furnish a replacement forANY part of Covered Equipment which fails in normal use and service with-in the Applicable WARRANTY Periods specified on the reverse side in accordancewith the terms of this LIMITED WARRANTY . The exchanged part will be warrant-ed for only the unexpired portion of the original DATE and WARRANTY PERIODS:The effective date of war-ranty coverage is the date of original installation, if properly documented; oth-erwise the date of manufacture, plus six (6) months. The WARRANTY Periodsapplicable to various RHEEM models and PARTS are specified on the reverse side.

2 EXCLUSIONS THIS LIMITED WARRANTY WILL NOT APPLY :a) todefects or malfunctions resulting from failure to properly install, operate ormaintain the unit in accordance with the manufacturer s instructions; b) to dam-age from abuse, accident, fire, flood and the like; c) to PARTS used in connectionwith normal maintenance, such as cleaning or replacing air filters; d)to unitswhich are not installed in the United States or Canada; e) to units which are notinstalled in accordance with applicable codes, ordinances and good trade prac-tices; or f) to defects or damage caused by the use of any attachment, accesso-ry or component not authorized by COSTS:You are responsible for the cost of shipping warrantyreplacement PARTS from our factory to our RHEEM distributor and from the dis-tributor to the location of your product.

3 You also are responsible for any ship-ping cost of returning the failed part to the distributor and for incidental costsincurred locally, including handling charges. (If in Alaska, Hawaii or Canada,you also must pay the shipping costs of returning the failed part to the port ofentry into the continental United States.)LABOR COSTS:This LIMITED WARRANTY does not cover any labor costs orexpenses for service, nor for removing or reinstalling PARTS . You are responsi-ble for all labor costs or expenses, unless a service labor agreement existsbetween you and your TO OBTAIN WARRANTY PERFORMANCE:You must promptlyreport any failure covered by this LIMITED WARRANTY to the installing contractoror distributor. Normally, the installing contractor from whom the unit was pur-chased will be able to take the necessary corrective action by obtaining throughhis RHEEM air conditioning distributor any replacement PARTS .

4 If the contrac-tor is not available, simply contact any other local contractor handling RHEEMair conditioning products. The name and location of a local contractor can usu-ally be found in your telephone directory or by contacting a RHEEM air con-ditioning distributor. RHEEM S SOLE LIABILI-TY WITH RESPECT TO DEFECTIVE PARTS OR FAILURE SHALL BE ASSET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY , AND ANY CLAIMS FORINCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARE EXPRESSLYEXCLUDED. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an impliedwarranty lasts, or for the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, sothe above limitation or exclusion may not apply to LIMITED WARRANTY gives you specific legal rights, and you may also haveother rights which vary from state to suggests that you immediately complete the information on thereverse side of this LIMITED WARRANTY and retain this LIMITED WarrantyCertificate in the event WARRANTY service is needed and that you keep properdocumentation of the date of the installation ( a dated receipt).

8 RHEEM warrants the primary heat exchanger andthe secondary heat exchanger ( condensing coil) to the Original Owner forhis or her lifetime,subject to proof of purchase,provided the furnace isinstalled and used in the Original Owner s principal residence.
