2 Remove all loose materials by hand or mechanically with achipping hammer, chisel, scabbler,sandblast, waterblast, or similarmethods. 3 Add most (all but 1 to 2 cups)of the 3/4 gallon ( L) of Part Aliquid into a clean mixing 42 lb. ( kg) unit of Part Bpowder by gradually sifting thematerial while mixing with a slowspeed 3/4" drill and mixing until thoroughly blended. Addremaining Part A liquid to achievethe desired placement mixing for approximately2 minutes to ensure a uniformlump-free consistency. Placement time is 15 minutes at70 F (21 C) and 50% humidity. If projects require largerquantities, multiple units may bemixed in a mortar mixer as follows:(a)predampen mortar mixer;(b)remove any excess water;(c)add 3/4 gallon ( L) unit ofPart A per 42 lb.

4 ( kg) unit ofPart B;(d)add units gradually;(e)mix for 2 minutes to a lump-freeuniform Dampen the surface with cleanwater; it must be saturated surfacedry (SSD) with no standing water. Apply a small quantity of themixed Sonopatch 100 to the SSDsubstrate. Thoroughly scrub, key in,and work the material throughoutthe cavity to promote bond. Place the mortar into the dampscrub coat. The maximum single lift recom-mended is 3/4" (19 mm) in applications greater than 3/4",Sonopatch 100 must be extendedwith up to 42 lbs.
