Less Interference = M ore Stabilit y Try to posi tion your r ange Extender away f rom el ectrical devi ces that are potenti al sources of i nterference, such as ceili ng f ans, hom e securi ty systems, mi crowaves, PCs, ref rigerators, the base of a cordl ess phone, or a GH z cordless phone. Less Obstacles = Better Performance Try to choose a locati on that m inimi zes obstacles between the Range Extender and your w irel ess router. Open corri dors and other spaci ous locations wi ll typi call y provi de better condi ti ons f or perf ormance than a crowded room . On the W izard screen, cl ick Open Scan, sel ect the rem ote r outer's wi rel ess network (SSID), say Tenda_881218, cl ick OK. 2. Enter the remote device s security key and click Save; 3.

If the wi rel ess Range Extender is connect ed to the rem ote router wi thi n 20 seconds, the wi rel ess Range Extender s DHCP server will be disabled automati cal l y. Thus, the wi reless Range Extender wil l get the IP assigned from the remote router and then you can access to the Internet. 2. If the Wireless Range Extender isn t connected to the remote router within 20 seconds, the Wireless Range Extender s DHCP server will be enabled automati cal l y. The wi reless Range Extender wi ll get the IP assigned f rom the Wireless Range Extender itself.

W hen bri dged successf ull y, the Range ext ender s SSID and securi ty m ode wi ll be the same as that of the rem ote router. ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- --------------- Chapter 2 Internet Connection Setup 7 Method Tw o: Setup by Button By pressing the RE button, you can achi eve wi rel ess bridgi ng for extendi ng wi rel ess network wi thout compli cated procedures. Conf igurati on procedures: 1. Press the W PS or QSS button on your wi rel ess router for 1~3 seconds; 2. Press the RE button on the wi reless Range Extender for 1~3 seconds wi thi n 2 m inutes; Chapter 2 Internet Connection Setup 8 3.
