If it is deter-mined that the evidence submitted is satisfactory proof of per-formance for the use intended, thebuilding officialshallapprove the use of the material or assembly subject to therequirements of this code. The costs, reports and investigationsrequired under these provisions shall be paid by the Research data, where neces-sary to assist in the approval of materials or assemblies notspecifically provided for in this code, shall consist of validresearch reports materials or assemblies are requiredby this code to belabeled, such materials and assemblies shallbelabeledby anapproved agencyin accordance with Section1703.

9 Products and materials required to be labeled shall belabeled in accordance with the procedures set forth in through agencyshall test a represen-tative sample of the product or material beinglabeledto therelevant standard or standards. Theapproved agencyshallmaintain a record of the TESTS performed. The record shallprovide sufficient detail to verify compliance with the inspection and periodically perform an inspection , which shallbe in-plant if necessary, of the product or material that is to belabeled.
