1 Instructions for Installing Microsoft Office 365 from Student PGCC Email Accounts Mac OS X Latest Update - 09/20/2016 Students have the option of Installing Microsoft Office 365 on their home computers free of charge. They can install Office on up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets, and 5 smartphones. To do so requires access to email through Office 365. Requirements: Mac OS X or later; browser Safari 8 or higher. Installing Office 365 on Mac Computer (This process may take up to 30 minutes to complete.) In order to install Office 365 on your Mac computer, open Safari, and visit the College s website, Click the E-mail link, then select, Student Mail . Log in with your student PGCC email account and password.
2 This window screen may appear after you log in to your PGCC email account. (Windows Version Shown in this Example.) Click the Settings icon (the gear) in the upper right, between the bell and the question mark. At the bottom of the Settings menu, select Office 365 . Select Install Status on the left, then click Install Desktop Applications . Click Install to install Office 2016 for Mac, which may take 30 minutes to complete. After clicking install, the Office 2016 will start downloading. The downloaded file will automatically save in the Downloads folder. Once the download finishes, open the downloaded file. Open the Office installer package in your Downloads folder by double-clicking on the " " file, and follow the steps to install Office .
3 Click Continue . Click Continue again. Click Install . If prompted for a user name and password, enter your Mac OS X username and password and click Install software . Let the installer finish Installing Office . Once the installer is done, you should see the following screen, letting you know it was installed successfully. Click Close , and be sure to always log out of your PGCC email when finished. You may now start using Microsoft Office 365. Troubleshoot Microsoft Office 365 Installation If you encounter any problems with downloading and Installing Office 365, click the "Troubleshoot installation" link on Office 365 installation page to resolve.
