This :The purpose of this manual is to provided a step-by-step guide to the operation, installation and mainte-nance of your YZ Light Liquid Hydrocarbon Sam-pling System. It should be read by both first-timeand experienced measurement technicians whowant to learn about the components and operationof the system. The manual has been organized intosections, which are summarized as follows: Section 1 - "System Introduction"Includes an overview of the systemcomponents, a description of how thesystem operates, a schematic systemdiagram, and a system layout of the skid.

Section 2 - "Sample Pump and Balance Valve" Section 3 - "Five-way Cross" Section 4 - "Product Accumulator Vessel" Section 5 - "Precharge Gas System" Section 6 - "Actuation/Mixing System Power Source" Section 7 - "System Electronic Control"These sections include details on thefunction, location, operation and mainte-nance of individual components of thesampling system. Section 8 - "System Installation and Start-up"Includes detailed instruction on the properway to install your YZ Sampler . Likewise, astep-by-step start-up procedure is to guideyou through commissioning the ( )P-1A Version 07232002YZ Systems , Inc.

3101 Pollok Drive Conroe, Texas USA 77303 P: F: 1: System IntroductionTheory of Operation:The LPR-2S-( ,3,5)P-1A is a complete samplingsystem designed to sample Light Liquid of individual samples are captured andcombined to develop a representative, compositesample of the flowing of the sampling system centers aroundthe following primary components: the LPR-2 Sample Pump, the Product Accumulator Vessel, theElectronic Control System, and the Precharge GasVessel.

All equipment is mounted on a 2' x 2' struc-tural steel skid. These components are shown in thediagram on the following sampling system operates on a simple the system receives a closed contact signalby others, the time delay relay electronic control unitenergizes the system solenoid valve. Energizing thesolenoid valve forces a pneumatic signal into theactuation cylinder of the sample pump, which in turncauses the pump to stroke. When the pumpstrokes, a small sample is displaced into the productaccumulator vessel. Once the solenoid valve is de-energized, the sample pump plunger returns to itsnormal position.

This action captures a new sampleinto the pump. When the system receives the nextclosed contact signal, the cycle begins purpose of the YZ Light Liquid hydrocarbon sam-pling system is to capture and maintain a represen-tative Liquid sample of the pipeline product. Thesampled product is maintained in a Liquid phase bythe product accumulator vessel s free floating pistonand the precharge gas system. In order for thesystem to function properly, pipeline product must besingle phase, Liquid properly adjusting both the sample size and thesample frequency, the sample vessel will fill to 80%capacity at the end of the sample period.
