Below thismaximum setting, the outletpressure is controlled by thesolenoid operated proportionalpilot valve, according to theelectrical command signalapplied to the normally open conditionof the mainstage allows fullflow from inlet to outlet portuntil the required reducedpressure is reached,whereupon the mainstagecloses, or reduces the flowsufficient only to maintain therequired outlet valve response ensuresthat the reduced outletpressure is unaffected by inletpressure peaks.
